State Negotiators November 2018 Meeting

Registration

  • Existing Business Members may attend lunch and the presentation portion of the meeting. Reports and updates on settlements are closed to just school negotiators.
  • Drop-in attendance to the meeting. Fee pays for lunch, facility, and administration costs.
  • Attendance for full State Negotiators members.

All event registrations require you to be either an active School or Business member, even for "drop-in" attendance. When you click the "register" button you'll be prompted for your email if you aren't logged-in.

Agenda:

  1. Welcome and Introductions

Mike Verdoorn, Principal Consultant for Gallagher, will present on "Equitable and Competitive Pay".  Compensation is about half of an institution's budget, but are you confident that the pay structure is competitive and equitable? We will walk through the process of salary survey study, and then how to use the data to establish a valid and defensible salary structure.

  4. Reports and Updates on Settlements
    Please come prepared to share a brief update as to where you are in the process of negotiating your teachers’ contract.  Specifically please share the main issues they have brought to the table as well as any other issues or proposals you feel would be of interest to the group.
