Agenda:

  1. Welcome and Introductions

  2. Thomas Rylko, Senior Compensation Consultant with Gallagher will present "Absence Benefits – Exploring the Possibilities"
What can school districts do to incentivize, discourage and address absenteeism? What lessons can we learn from other organizations? In this session, we will discuss the current challenges schools are facing related to absence management. We will explore the latest market trends and how other industries, such as hospitals, have designed their absence benefits to support their business operations. We will then rethink and imagine absence benefit design for a school aimed at transforming behavior to reduce unscheduled absenteeism and attract and retain employees.

  3. Legislative Advocacy Update - brief review of progress in work with legislative advocacy partners.

  4. Other Announcements

  5. Reports and Updates on Settlements
Please come prepared to share a brief update as to where you are in the process of negotiating your teachers’ contract.  Specifically please share the main issues they have brought to the table as well as any other issues or proposals you feel would be of interest to the group.
