State Negotiators January 2020 Meeting

Registration

  • Existing Business Members may attend lunch and the presentation portion of the meeting. Reports and updates on settlements are closed to just school negotiators.
  • Drop-in attendance to the meeting. Fee pays for lunch, facility, and administration costs.
  • Attendance for full State Negotiators members.
All event registrations require you to be either an active School or Business member, even for "drop-in" attendance. When you click the "register" button you'll be prompted for your email if you aren't logged-in.

Agenda:

  1. Welcome and Introductions

  2. Sonja Parr, Outreach Coordinator and Member Services Counselor from TRA, and
    Luis Argueta, Stakeholder Communications Coordinator from PERA will each present on the topic of their efforts to engage with district employees.   In these brief presentations the focus will be on when and how to invite the retirement association in for group meetings, and how to be an advocate for employees in planning for their financial future.

    Please come prepared to share a brief update as to where you are in the process of negotiating your teachers’ contract.  Specifically please share the main issues they have brought to the table as well as any other issues or proposals you feel would be of interest to the group.
