In this presentation, Tim Alexander will share a central story from his experience hiring some of the best educators in Minnesota – how to design a theme based selection protocol and use it to attract the best.   

Beginning from the position that effective teacher evaluation identifies the talents and strengths present in successful educators, this insight gives a meaningful framework for attracting and retaining the best using a combination of theme based selection with effective evaluation on the same criteria.  Maintaining a focus on aligning the priorities of "success" in the school district with key themes for its teacher selection ultimately benefits both teachers and students. The story does not end with selection but simply opens the door to grow and multiply your best which will drastically impact the culture of your school district.

About Tim Alexander

Tim Alexander is the recently retired Executive Director of Human Resources at Minnetonka Public Schools #276 and Past President of NAEN and MASPA. Tim was a school administrator for over 25 years and at Minnetonka for the last 12 years.  He is currently an Associate with Humanex Ventures. Through his entire career, Tim has worked very closely during this time to create and innovate methods of improving district recruiting, staffing, and evaluation processes. Humanex has always been a part of what has made his ability to recruit and retain more like the best so successful.
