This webinar is for school personnel administrators, senior administrative team members, and health & safety staff responsible for implementing COVID vaccine requirements for staff.  In this session, attendees will hear the story of two districts implementing a vaccine mandate ahead of federal requirements.  From Minnesota, Michelle Axell, Director of Human Resources, and Jake Horejsh, Student & Staff Safety Manager, will present Intermediate District 287's policy enacted on August 26th.  Dr. Kim Chambers, Director of Human Resources for the Stevenson High School District 125 in Lincolnshire, Illinois, will provide a perspective of a district implementing its own policy ahead of the state mandate from Illinois.  Christian Shafer, Shareholder from Ratwik, Roszak, & Maloney, P.A. will join and share a legal update on relevant case law, accommodations and discipline, and other emerging issues.

Speakers from both districts will present key decision points and timelines, strategies for working effectively with labor unions and other stakeholders, handling of exemptions, addressing non-compliant employees, and lessons-learned.  Participants will also have access to materials to be used as examples in their own organizations.  Time will be reserved for live questions to the presenters.
