State Negotiators November Meeting

Registration

  • Standard and Premier Business Members may attend the program portion of the meeting. Reports and updates on settlements are closed to just school negotiators.
  • Basic Business Members may attend the presentation portion of the meeting. Reports and updates on settlements are closed to just school negotiators.
  • Drop-in attendance to the meeting. In-person or virtual. For non-dues paying members and partners.
  • Attendance for full State Negotiators members.

Registration is closed

This in-person meeting begins with lunch from 11:30 to 12:30.  The presentation portion of the meeting is available via virtual attendance beginning around 12:30.

Lunch start: 11:30 a.m.   

Meeting start: 12:30/12:45 p.m.

Meeting Agenda:

  1. Introduction, review of norms, and meeting agenda

  2. Collective Bargaining Readiness: Financial Dialogue and the Impact of Minnesota’s New Leave Law

    This session will help HR and finance leaders strengthen their pre-bargaining strategies, communicate complex financials with confidence, and engage in transparent, solutions-oriented dialogue at the table. Using examples, participants will explore how to integrate cost projections, model leave liabilities, and present fiscal data that builds understanding and trust across negotiation teams.


  3. Reports and Updates on Settlements, Arbitration, and BMS Rulings.

    ** Closed Session - available to only those actively representing school management in negotiations **

    Moderated group discussion: members share a brief update as to where they are in the process of negotiating teachers’ and other contracts. Includes main issues they have brought to the table as well as any other issues or proposals you feel would be of interest to the group.

    Attendees are invited to share about arbitration results and BMS rulings such as representation votes and contract scope rulings.



Red Rover User Meetup - 11/7, 2 - 3 p.m.

In-Person Attendees: Following the State Negotiators meeting, McKay Hawkes, Regional Sales Manager from Red Rover will be hosting an informal meetup at the DoubleTree.  If you are a current Red Rover customer, or are interested in their solutions, please join your peers and McKay for a fun, collaborative conversation from approximately 2:00 to 3:00 pm.
